In short: BroBot only keeps what it needs to run its features in your server. We never sell data, never use it for advertising, and each server's data is kept separate. Email hello@brobot.uk to see or delete your data.
Who we are
BroBot (brobot.uk) is a Discord bot run from the United Kingdom. This policy covers the public BroBot bot and this website. For anything about your data, contact hello@brobot.uk.
What BroBot stores
BroBot stores the following, linked to the Discord server it was used in:
- Server settings chosen in /setup or by commands: channel and role choices, colours, wording, rules, ticket types, Kick username, and casino name, link, code and logo link.
- Discord IDs (numbers that identify servers, channels, roles, messages and users), which the features need to work.
- Levels: each member's XP and level.
- Moderation: warnings, with the reason and the moderator who gave them, and auto-mod settings.
- Tickets: which tickets are open, the answers given on the ticket form and, when a ticket is closed, a transcript of the messages in that ticket channel.
- Other features: giveaway entries, reaction roles, custom commands, starboard posts, server stats channels and live stream post details.
- Logs: short-term technical logs (for example a command being used or an error) that can include Discord usernames, used only to fix problems.
Message content
BroBot reads messages in channels it can see only to run its features: auto-mod (spam, links, invites and banned words), levels (counting messages for XP), custom commands and the starboard. Messages are checked as they arrive and are not stored, except for ticket transcripts as described above.
Why we use it
Only to provide the bot's features to the server that uses them, to keep the bot secure and working, and to answer support requests. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the service that server admins choose to add.
Who can see it
- Data stays within the server it came from. Other servers using BroBot cannot see it.
- Some features post information inside your server by design, for example leaderboards, transcripts in a staff channel, or auto-mod logs.
- BroBot runs on a server rented from Contabo (a hosting company), and uses Discord to work. When a server sets a Kick username, BroBot looks up that channel's public stream details from Kick. When a server sets a casino logo link, BroBot downloads that image to draw its panels.
- When Premium launches, payments will be handled by Stripe. We will never see or store your card details.
- We never sell data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Server data is kept while BroBot is in your server, so your settings and history keep working. If you remove BroBot, email hello@brobot.uk from an admin account or include your server ID, and we will delete that server's data within 30 days. Logs are size-limited and old entries are overwritten automatically.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how it is used. Email hello@brobot.uk with your Discord username and user ID. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
You must meet Discord's minimum age to use Discord and BroBot. Casino features are only for servers and members aged 18 or over.
This website
brobot.uk does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data (like IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
